Reading, one of the most fundamental skills that develops human existence, is one of the most necessary skills for the acquisition and transformation of knowledge. Gaining reading skills is possible through the application of reading techniques and methods. One of these techniques and methods is the reading circle method. This method is a method that includes many activities, develops the individual in many ways, is applied individually and in groups, and continues learning before, during and after the application. The aim of this study is to “examine the reading circle experiences of primary school students according to teacher views.” This research was conducted based on phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research methods. While the population of the study was all primary school teachers, the sample was criterion sampling from purposive sampling types. The study group consisted of 7 male and 4 female teachers working in public and private schools in Adıyaman-Gaziantep provinces. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained in the study were analyzed by content analysis method and three main themes and ten sub-themes were obtained. The data were classified into three themes: “Reading Circle Method”, “Basic Skills” and “Social Skills”. In these classifications, it has been determined that the reading circle method improves primary school students' questioning, reading illuminator, artist, and connective skills. In addition, it was observed that the reading circle method improved primary school students' vocabulary, speaking skills, reading attitude, increased their reading motivation and made significant contributions to their reading comprehension.
